The Pentland Community Chest committee met last week to consider the ten applications submitted in the most recent funding tranche. Nine of the applications met the eligibility criteria and the committee were happy to be able to award grants to each of these organisations. We have listed them on the Awards page. The funds will be used to:
- purchase of equipment and materials to create a school allotment;
- buy a saddle;
- help establish an art trail;
- buy additional equipment for a food bank;
- purchase fireproof secure storage for playground equipment;
- buy netball hoops and bibs for a school club;
- purchase new gala banners;
- buy equipment for a school role playing club;
- contribute towards perimeter fencing for a tennis club.
