The 31st Pentland (Juniper Green) Scout Troop provides a Scouting experience to young people in Currie and Juniper Green.
Information about the project:
The Scout Troop requested funding to purchase three new Berghaus Grampian 3 hike tents to add to their equipment, to replace some aging tents for which it was no longer possible to buy spare parts.
Feedback:
The Scout Troop acquired the tents in late 2024 and have used them a number of times, including at the Brass Monkey camp at Bonaly in early 2025, and most recently in June 2025 to allow 20 Scouts to camp overnight in the Pentlands. On both occasions the popularity of Scouting meant the Troop was at absolute capacity with its tentage so having the three new tents was the only reason everyone was able to attend these events.
