Information about Juniper Green Tennis Club:
Juniper Green Tennis Club has two macadam tennis courts which support play in all weather conditions and allow all year round access. The club’s focus is on community tennis and it offers a range of coached children’s classes for various age groups starting as young as four years old. The club also offers a targeted coached tennis class for the over 50s, a coached beginners classes for ladies, men or mixed and also a cardio tennis based fitness class. All coached classes are open to club members and non-members. The club’s ethos is all about fun, friendly, fitness at your own pace with an emphasis on enjoyment and increasing local participation in the sport.
Information about the project:
Juniper Green Tennis Club was planning to undertake essential external repairs to its vintage wooden clubhouse. The primary objective was to complete weather proofing of the building thereby preventing any further deterioration. The proposed works focused on a series of priority external repairs including: the removal and replacement of damaged wooden cladding; the renewal of partially rotted canopy support posts; and the full external repainting of the building.

With generous support from some local organisations including the Pentland Community Chest, Juniper Green Tennis Club completed the priority repairs specified in their application. The before and after photos tell the story well.
