At a meeting this evening, the Community Chest trustees decided to seek permission from the parent organisations (Rotary Club of Currie Balerno (Rotary) and Balerno Village Trust (BVT)) to change the name of the organisation from the Community Chest to the Pentland Community Chest to reflect the geographical area of benefit of the award scheme. It was also decided to suggest that the area of benefit should be defined as being primarily the catchment areas of the two local high schools: Balerno High and Currie High.
