Yesterday evening The Rotary Club of Currie Balerno (Rotary) hosted members of the Balerno Village Trust (BVT) board and the BVT Pentland Community Chest trustees at their weekly dinner at the Baberton Golf Club. The evening provided an excellent opportunity for members of both organisations to get to know each other better in a social setting.
After dinner, Lynn Molleson (BVT Chair) gave a short presentation about the work of the Balerno Village Trust and was followed by Ken Lindsay (Rotary) who talked about the work of Rotary. Roy Stirrat drew the talks to a close by providing an overview of the Pentland Community Chest.
All eating and talking completed, Peter McGavigan (Rotary President) and Lynn Molleson (BVT Chair) – both pictured above – signed the updated Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations. An unsigned copy can be viewed here.
