Yesterday evening the Pentland Community Chest committee met to assess the grant applications submitted between 1 December 2022 and 31 May 2023. We are pleased to announce that seven awards will be made. The following organisations and projects have been successful:
- Wildfire Explorer Unit – Purchase of soldering iron kits, electronic kits, batteries
- Harmeny Education Trust – Purchase of tables and chairs for a new outdoor centre
- Currie Star Football Club – Purchase of playing strip for the 2008 Blues team
- Pentland Gymnastics Club – Costs related to logo redesign
- Nether Currie Primary School PTA – Resources for forest and outdoor learning project – including tools and equipment
- Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled – Purchase of yard broom and muck shovel
- West Edinburgh Stingrays Water Polo Club – Purchase of water polo balls and cones
