Juniper Green Tennis Club – Contribution toward purchase of perimeter fencing

Information about Juniper Green Tennis Club:

Juniper Green Tennis Club has two macadam tennis courts which support play in all weather conditions and allow all year round access. The club’s focus is on community tennis and it offers a range of coached children’s classes for various age groups starting as young as four years old. The club also offers a targeted coached tennis class for the over 50s, a coached beginners classes for ladies, men or mixed and also a cardio tennis based fitness class. All coached classes are open to club members and non-members. The club’s ethos is all about fun, friendly, fitness at your own pace with an emphasis on enjoyment and increasing local participation in the sport.

Information about the project:

The club’s western boundary with the neighbouring houses on Belmont Road traditionally depended upon a row of small trees and various bushes to safeguard that part of the perimeter. However, a series of gaps developed in this natural wall giving rise to a need for a permanent wooden fence to protect from unauthorised intruders. Juniper Green Tennis Club requested a contribution to the cost of the fence.

Feedback:

The fence was erected by a local business on 14th August 2025 and the entire perimeter of the premises can now be considered secure, which eliminates a considerable risk to the club.
