The 51st Pentland (Balerno) Scouts provides Scouting to over 230 children between 6 and 14 years old in Balerno through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Sections meet weekly during term time.
Information about the project:
The Scout Group requested funding for two Omega 350 tents to increase the Group tent stock, so enabling more than one Section to camp at the same time and accommodating mixed gender groups.
Feedback:
The Omega 350 tents were bought and have been used frequently since their purchase. The photograph above shows them on loan to Wildfire Explorer Unit in the summer of 2021, enabling the Unit to hold a summer camp during Covid, when rules had relaxed enough to allow a couple of teenagers to share a tent, but not enough for the Unit to use the usual, much bigger patrol tents.
